Wherein Julia celebrates her birthday, has a run-in with the Police, and jumps for her life!

Goood week!! but probably the stupidest email I have written...

Had kind of a scare, and we still aren’t sure what is going on, but with Patrice and Kamelia! We showed up to their house for our RV and we were all going to Erwin and MJ's for dinner, and there were the police at their apartment. Come to find out they had a friend that was just using their address to mail things to because he didn’t have one, and he did something, and the Police came to look for him....well since he is from the Ivory Coast, and so is Patrice, it cause some problems. We aren’t sure if Patrice and Kamelia are telling the truth, but we are being cautious. Erwin knows all about this and is telling us what to watch for...etc...Because I guess it is quite common for people to get married just to stay in the country...we aren’t sure if that is the case...but it is just a lot of drama!!!

Well, we didn’t end up teaching that night because they stayed in jail for the night, but we taught them on Sunday night; let’s just say we didn’t get one word in. Patrice taught US on what it is to be baptized, in his Protestant ways, it was tough, because we didn’t get ONE word in, and it was getting frustrating. And they told us that church was boring...hehe because people don’t shout "hallelujah!!" I love them, but we are just fairing attention!

So I wanted to tell you about Melissa! I LOVE THIS GIRL!! Oh my gosh! She is 14, and just so much personality!!! So she was impersonating missionaries, American missionaries in general! She did me, and she walks in and says in her best American accent, making mistakes in her French and asking if it is correct, "My mom made me this new necklace, do you like it? My companion has one just like it..." picks up the BOM and just starts testifying and crying, it was the most HILLARIOUS thing I have seen! I was laughing sooo hard! We got it on video, so we will send it when we get some more, enough to put on a cd...

Ahhh I hate that I have no time to write, and the fact that I cant even express through an email what is really going on and words do not describe accurately what I am feeling...BUT I LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!!

Venus

Candy

Marine and Angelque

Pascaline taught her first lesson in Relief Society and did suchhh a good job. She is a new woman! She has such a testimony, but I totally know that it fortified it because she has so much confidence now. I called her last night and she sounded like she was sleeping, she said, "No, I'm just reading the Book of Mormon" OH! I love her!! And I know you will never understand this, but when she laughs, Oh it is just the best!!! She laughs from the depths of her stomach, and it is so jolly and joyful!! It is on the video of Melissa impersonating the missionaries, but oh my gosh I love this woman!!!

And Marie-Jeanne, oh my gosh!!!! My love for these people....can I even put it into words? They are my family! Your family really grows soo much! Oh my heart is so full for these people!!

As you know, it was my birthday this week...nothing different just a different number in the digit...22! We originally planned on going to Marco Polo, the very good, tasty, famous pizza place across the way from us, for dinner, but they turned the gas off on our street so it was closed...and just so you know, EVERYTHING in France on Monday night is closed...FHE in France? hehe I'm not sure, but no one was informed it was Soeur Morrow's birthday, so we went to MacDonald's for dinner, and had a nice time!!! hehe enjoying ourselves, laughing historically...I asked for extra sauce on my Big Mac, because they put NONE on....let's just say it was OOZING everywhere!!! All over my hand, my face with every bite! Quite hillarious! But it was fun! Europe has this new drink, Coke light!! WAY good!

So today, we went to the Tour Magne with the Elders and Janet! So much fun, but crazy!!! It was cool; you go up to the top and see all of Nîmes!!! What a beautiful city!!! I seriously am out of time though, and my mind is going a million miles a minute, so much to do!!

Today has been a STRESSFUL pday, and nothing got done, and we are leaving to Montpellier tonight until tomorrow night. (The new missionaries are having a conference, and Julia and Soeur Cook will work together in Montpeillier) I hate leaving for a day because that means one more day lost in Nîmes!!! This is so wonderful! Soeur Kim is wonderful! I love her so much! She is so real, so herself feels her feelings, the spirit and everything else! We have been having a blast!!!!

Soeur Julia Morrow
