Wherein Julia does the internet in French, eats tons-o-crêpes, and finds new Amis

(We had some internet difficulty this morning, so her letter is rather sparce. She was telling me about helping Marie-Jeanne set up her own hotmail account. Jude is doing GREAT!.. OK.. update. I heard from Julia on Wednesday and she was struggling a bit.. just normal growing pains of a missionary, but if you could all remember her in your prayers, I am sure she would greatly appreciate it!)

Ok so I am sitting here with Marie-Jeanne !! I am feeling not very patient, because I am trying to show her how to email, and it isn’t working!! She is trying to read this and translate it and it is VERY CUTE! Hehe but she told me to tell you “Hello on our part, and I am very happy for your card, and you have a very wonderful daughter. And we think of you all the time! It is a pleasure to have the Soeurs and the Elders on Sunday at our house, they are our family here! They replace our family, and Erwin always calls them ‘our children’! And whenever they come over, all I say is ‘EAT!’ And we are excited to see you when you come, and we have a surprise for you! It will be a pleasure you have to eat at our house!”

It is true, they are my family here! I love them so much! Marie-Jeanne gave me a Tahitian pearl for my birthday, it is Beautiful! I am going to put it on a necklace when I get home, but those things are NOT cheap!

The Birthday Surprise Party at Marie Jeanne's

Janet and her husband invited us over for crêpes. We get there, and he has made this enormous plate of couscous that was sooo good and this plate of probably 30 crêpes! I couldn’t stop eating, because HE WOULDNT LET US! Hehe I was so full, people just say ‘Mange!’ But the crêpes were beautiful!! Holy cow! He made this pastry cream, and fresh fruit, rolled it up, and cut to open the top, and poured real chocolate over it, with some powdered sugar! The presentation definitely got an A+!! It was sooo good! He is such a good cook, and he is really being nicer to Janet! Things are going well! Definitely the blessing coming down after her baptism!!!

Crêpes!

MAGALI! Our new ami! She is GOLDEN! In our RV with taught her the first lesson, and she was just crying! She has lived a difficult life, her mother was beaten by her ex-husband, and Jessica, just always has a smile on her face! She has such a good attitude! Well, it was an amazing RV, she committed to come to church the next day and to the baptism, but didn’t show, and hasn’t been answering our phone calls...I am a little worried. But pray for her!

Yesterday was an interesting day, we were going to take the bus to Murielle’s, who is an old ami from Paris, ready to get baptized, but her husband doesn’t know she wants to, and we don’t really know what is going on...because she lives far away and we haven’t been able to get a RV with her...;well we found out HOW far away she lives...she told us we could come visit her, just to catch the bus...well come to find out there was ONE bus that didn’t even go to her ville, we would have to walk for like 12 kilometers, which is I guess like 10 miles...she didn’t forewarn us of this, and the bus was an hour and a half long ride, for 11 euros...and we didn’t have that much cash, so we didn’t get on! We called her to tell her we missed the bus. So I was a little stressed because that was going to be the whole day, and we didn’t have any other RVs...(Sorry if this is not making sense, I am typing in English, and Marie-Jeanne and Teo are talking to me in French...hehe, Teo dit Bonjour!) so we went home and grabbed some addresses of some old amis! SO COOL! There were 2 amis that haven’t been contacted in a year, and we just showed up at their house, and we have a RV with both of them for tomorrow!! We are going to get them GOING! I am so excited! The Lord is totally blessing us here!

My mind is seriously running a million miles a minute! SO much to tell, so little time!
Think my internet isn’t working, but I love you!!! The church is true!!
