Wherein Julia sees tractors, eats McDonalds, and sets Nîmes on fire!

What has happened this week ? Well Sœur Kim has been sick, not sure what is going on, but some cold, achy, so for about 2 days we took it easy. But she is so wonderful! Words cannot describe how wonderful she is!!! This girl is POWERFUL with her testimony! Moves mountains! She teaches me so much! She is so close to the spirit, so amazing with the French, and we are soo alike! We have so much fun together!!!

Well we taught Kamelia and Patrice and whoa, they just listen to her! Patrice is a talker! But I was blown away by him, Soeur Kim asked him what he knew from what we had taught him, conversation starter, and he explained the entire first lesson, not just the first vision, but the first lesson, all the way THROUGH the Book of Mormon, the entire story! I was blown away!! It was amazing!! The spirit was so strong, we all cried, we all recognized it, and we committed them to come to church. That is their biggest hang up, they just won’t come. “If it is God’s will.” Well, they committed to come! And were there right on time!!! It was so amazing! I was so grateful to have them there! And both of their testimonies…oh it was great!! Well tonight we are teaching them at Erwin and Marie –Jeanne’s tonight, I am excited, but they are all difficult to get started, so we hope we are able to get through the lesson.

With Kamelia and Patrice

We are kind of in a rut with Uyanga, we taught her and focused on Prayer, and she kind of taught herself on how important prayer is, and then when we tried to commit her to pray as a family, she wont do it. She refuses to keep any commitments, and I don’t know what to do! She cancelled on us today, so…kind of at a loss on what to teach her…

OHHh so Jessica! She was taught a year ago by the Soeurs, but I don’t know if she just lost interest or what…but she is the one that we dropped in on her birthday, and she was there…remember? Probably not it was like 2 months ago, but we had a RV with her and her friend was there too!! Well the RV was amazing, Jessica said she has prayed to know if the church is true, and she knows that it is, but cant be baptized right now because she isn’t married to Patrick, who is a member, and they aren’t getting married until probably the end of the year….but we are going to keep teaching her and get her going and a strong testimony!

She said “I haven’t read it in while, but you totally gave me the desire to read…” and asked for chapters to read, we gave her 4 because she just kept asking for more! Amazing!! And her friend, Caroline, who was really cold at first, totally opened up ( knows the missionaries from before and her step mom is a member…weird genealogy going on there…) and said we could teach her too!!! YAY!! I am so excited! They are great girls!!

OHH Mom, thanks soo much for the Kool-Aid for Marie-Jeanne and the notes for her and Janet! They both LOVED it!!! Janet kissed me, and Marie-Jeanne got your address to write you, so be expecting something! Now, do you mind writing Pascaline? She would LOVE that! She always talks about how much she loves the parents of Missionaries! So write Pascaline and Melissa, and you could write Patrice and Kamelia too! You are going to have a ton of pen pals! Yay!!Janet is doing amazing! She was just called to be the new Relief Society Secretary!!! Oh my gosh I am so excited for her!!! She is so excited too!!! And Soeur Protano is now holding a Book of Mormon class for all the new converts and members who want to come!!! So Janet and Gautie are going to that!! What the miracles? I am soo excited!!! Gautie is doing well!!! I just love this guy!!!

With Marie-Jeanne eating weird Fish Patties and not feeling too well!

Well, it is raining today, oh and there was this WEIRD tractor parade!! Hehe it was so funny!!! These tractors driving down the street hocking, with signs about wine, they are all the wine guys, and the entire street was packed with wine farmer people, not sure if they were striking or what, but it was hilarious!!!

Training is wonderful, and I loved Soeur Johnson, but I truly love and appreciate her more! Because I was hard because I didn’t speak the French…hardly! Soeur Kim speaks VERY well!! We are having a blast together, but is it somewhat stressful being the only one that some what knows what is going on! She is a contacting machine! And is so powerful with the spirit, we really work beautifully together! What one doesn’t say, the other does…we are really one at heart!!! I love her so much!!!Ok, a talk I want EVERYONE to read is Elder Wirthlin: "One Step After Another" Dad , John Hadlock, Soeur Johnson, Andrea, Kate, everyone, I want you to read it ok???

Well, Mom, I wont write you before…so Happy Birthday!!! I love you!!!!! You are 50!!! Yahoo!!! Thanks for your wonderful package and koolaid!!! Marie-Jeanne is really grateful!!! Hehe She loves that stuff!!! If you want to make her a necklace, she would love that!!! Tahitian style!!

I love you all!!!

« Oui, je te le dis, mon fils, qu’il ne pouvait rien y avoir d’aussi raffiné ni d’aussi cruel que mes souffrances. Oui, et je te le dis encore, mon fils, que d’autre part, il ne peut rien y avoir d’aussi raffiné ni d’aussi doux que ma JOIE !!! » Alma 36 :21 (Yea, I say unto you, my son, that there could be nothing so exquisite and so bitter as were my pains. Yea, and again I say unto you, my son, that on the other hand, there can be nothing so exquisite and sweet as was my joy. )
